New Survey Reveals Stress Levels at Work Soar as Job Cuts and Economic Crisis Hit

A new survey undertaken by the Trade Union Co-ordinating Group (TUCG) has revealed that stress levels at work have soared over the last year as job cuts hit. Results show that:

As a result of worsening conditions at work over 1 in 4 workers are more stressed now than a year ago.

Over 1 in 5 workers report that they are having to work harder as a result of job cuts in their workplace, with 1 in 7 in fear of losing their jobs.

8 out of ten of these workers feel things have got worse at work over the last 12 months.

As a result of worsening conditions at work 26% of all workers feel more stressed now than a year ago

Over half of all workers stated that one or more of the stress indicators mentioned were affecting them in the workplace.
