I have been made aware that at a CIPD Police Forum Conference at Ryton yesterday Tom Winsor informed those in attendance that the Federation are declining to consult over Windsor 2.
This is extremely disappointing and if true completely misrepresents the current position of the Police Federation. I have written to Winsor on two occasions (12th May and 23rd June) to explain that the Police Federation is unable to engage with the 2nd part of his review until negotiations in respect of his 1st report are concluded at the Police Negotiating Board. I have also made him aware of when we will provide him with our written response to his ‘call for evidence’. I have yet to receive any response to these letters.
I would be grateful if you correct any misunderstanding identified by members of your force .
